List of Phrase Tags
Following is a list of all the phrase tags and phrase group tags used by this online phrase chunker for Punjabi. The phrase groups are used to account for the recursive phrase structure in Punjabi. The phrase groups usually contain more than one phrase, or a phrase followed by a postposition.
Phrase Tags
  • NPD - Noun phrase in direct case
  • NPO - Noun phrase in oblique case
  • NPV - Noun phrase in vocative case
  • NPT - Noun phrase in ablative case
  • NPI - Noun phrase in instrumental case
  • NPX - Noun phrase in all cases (Used for headwords that are unknown being proper nouns)
  • NPU - Pronouns in dative case
  • sVP - Subordinate verb phrase
  • nVP - Verb phrase having verb forms ending in N inflectional class
  • naVP - Verb phrase having verb forms ending in NA inflectional class
  • VP - Verb phrase
  • AjP - Adjective phrase
  • AvP - Adverb phrase
  • EP - Emphatic particles phrase
Phrase Group Tags
  • NPNE - Noun phrase group in instrumental case
  • NPNU - Noun phrase group in dative case
  • NPTON - Noun phrase group in ablative case
  • NPPG - Noun phrase group followed by any other postposition
  • NPOG - Noun phrase group in oblique case but not followed by any postposition
  • NPDG - Noun phrase group in direct case
  • sVPG - Subordinate verb phrase group
  • naVPG - Verb phrase group having all verb forms ending in NA inflectional class
  • VPG - Verb phrase group
  • AjPG - Adjective phrase group
